polo so far...

Recently, I have been working with Ham Polo Club in Richmond, London. Covering their spectacular social events, ranging from chilled picnics on the lawn, Friday Fashion Nights and crazy penny farthing polo! With the club kindly giving me access to these events I have been able to capture moments between friends and families enjoying themselves at the polo, as well as getting right into the action of the game.
I am so grateful for the warm welcome that the staff and members of Ham Polo gave me into the sport, it has been an exciting new experience and I am looking forward to my future with the club and within the polo scene as a whole. Thanks Guys!!

- About me -

Growing up at school, I studied photography at GCSE level, learning basic techniques and styles to aid with my learning. At 14, I was not impressed that it came with homework and swore off photography! Only years later, when a friend of mine (@edvizual) took me along to a photoshoot, did I think to give it another try. I purchased a Canon 90D and soon found a community that supported me and taught me everything I know.
As my personal interests go, at first I gave every genre of photography a try. Starting off, I had a wildlife and automotive focus, as living in the Cotswolds I had a surplus of both. Then, moving to London, I leaned into the sporting sector after working with Ashford Town Middlesex and collaborating with sports personalities. I dabble in aviation photography (a perk of living close to an airport), pet photography out in the London parks, and just saying hello to interesting people who let me take their portrait.
I am currently working on building my events portfolio, as connecting with people is a passion of mine that photography really encourages me to open up and boosts my confidence!
An aspect of photography that is most important to me, and I believe isn’t spoken about enough, is the wonders this hobby and profession can do for your mental health. Encouraging me to get outside and meet new people, it is extremely rewarding. Alongside my perspective on how the world looks, how light bounces off surfaces, and the wonderful colours you see day to day, helpful when you live in a gloomy city!
Having your hobby as your job is an absolute honour. The following galleries are photos I've taken while finding myself as a photographer, and, importantly, having fun!
Take care, everyone, and keep creating!
